White wines
The soil of the Doc Piave Area is composed of sand and gravel and it's calcareous and clayey; a mixture of earth and rock deposited over the centuries after the many floods of the Piave. It is characterized by deep veins of water and by the “Grave” (gravelly islands made of different sized pebbles deposited by the Piave during floods) which give the white wines their unmistakable bouquet.
Chardonnay
Chardonnay, which takes its name from the small French town in the Burgundy area, is certainly one of the most widely planted white grapevine variety in the world. For its remarkable ability to adapt to different climatic conditions, in Italy Chardonnay is grown mainly in the Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions, though in recent years it has propagated throughout the entire national territory.
Chardonnay has a young and fruity style and delicate but persistent aromas of fresh fruit that, from the clayey soil of the Piave riverside, it first receives and then gives back.
Pinot Bianco
Pinot Bianco is a noble white grapevine variety with very ancient origins dating back certainly to Roman times and it belongs to the large family of Pinot (in particular it is a genetic mutation of the Pinot Noir). This wine has a straw-yellow colour with green highlights and it is fresh and fruity.
Piave Pinot Bianco, with its delicate and harmonious bouquet, interprets generously and skilfully the characteristics that make this white wine extremely versatile and enjoyable also as an aperitif.
Pinot grigio
Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris, with its unique pink berry, is the result of a mutation of Pinot Noir and it is cultivated in Italy since the nineteenth century, first of all in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and now present in many Denominations of Origin including Doc Piave.

Currently, the production area defined by the regulations, takes in 15 municipalities including Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, but with the new 2009 vintage the legislation for the protection of the Prosecco will undergo important changes.
Prosecco of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene is recognizable for its straw yellow colour, its moderate full-body and its fruity and floral scents that go directly to the palate. It's perfect for an aperitif in the sparkling version, but also as table-wine.
Sauvignon

In the rows of the grapevines that grow on the “grave” of the Piave river, Sauvignon captures its characteristic hints of herbaceous plants that remind mowed grass and nettles together with fascinating hints of exotic fruits.
Tai
Tocai is a native grape variety of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Not be confused with Alsace's Tokai or the Hungarian Tokay, since April 2007 it can no longer be labelled as Tocai but simply Tai.
